I bought this about a month ago, and so far I love it. I would make sure you have a professional install it and also override the parking brake restrictions. You also definitely want to add a rear view camera to this because it's probably one of my most used features. I have a ps3 slim running on the av2 and it looks great.
Pros:
* zillions of POIs in the navigation
* bluetooth, dvd, radio work great
* rear view camera
Cons:
* it takes a few seconds to boot ( I usually autostart may car w/ alarm so it's not noticed )
* the rear view camera can only be viewed going in reverse ( I added a switch that forces it into reverse )
* the voice commands can sometimes be wonky
I would add it to any other vehicles I buy. |
Great addition to the van

| I connected this in a 2002 Honda Odysey with great results. Fast rear view camera. (immediately after engine start. No delay) Great touchscreen. (no lag after a press) Speach recognition works. (The speach works for almost any funtion and recognizes my voice. For example, inputting addresses or finding the nearby park) Navigation is fantastic. (Great use of text to speach and changes to the screen to help make turns. Well done.) Ipod connector works well with an iPhone. For example, i can have a show playing in the rear screen and check my email, etc without stopping the play of the video. |
Excellent vehicle companion

| I have had two other Pioneer products of this type and this unit by far was over and above my expectations. W/O going thru all the bells and whistles that usually accompany these reviews, I will get to the one that means the most; it works as designed in every respect and has great response times to all commands. My wife has a built in unit for her Lexus RX350 and this unit is just amazing. It starts up quickly and responds instantly. Well, finally Pioneer has a unit that equals the flash memory performance of that GPS unit and with a few extras ta boot.. The Pioneer development lab must have realized that using a better performing flash memory was tantamount in getting the most out of their designs. (duh!) The Z110BT will not disappoint! |
