| Like me, you may have a cell phone and GPS, but when you combine them into a tracking device for a loved one or pet then it becomes more complicated. I had trouble getting started using the tracker and the Fanatic Digital support team provided advice and assistance quickly and thoroughly until the tracker worked as advertised. I can track current and previous locations on the Internet (going back days, weeks, and months), receive automated SOS calls, and can create perimeters whereby the tracker sends an automated call when the loved one/device crosses the perimeter boundary. I would have preferred a mobile carrier other than AT&T, like O2 and the other discount carriers, but that was not possible. This is an excellent product, priced lower than other trackers, and does not require a subscription fee. You buy/own the tracker and feed AT&T quarterly for about an $8 per month usage ($0 when not in use). No special equipment is needed to setup and monitor the tracker, only Internet access. This is a relatively new device type and this offering delivers great results, exceeding it's competitors. |

I have purchased this GPS tracker couple months back, found its over all operation and functionalities very good.
Had a few initial problems exchanging emails with their support, but in the end I can say I'm a happy and finally a satisfied customer.
had to purchase a separate cable to change APN info, SMSC and SOS numbers as I'm in Canada and we don't have AT&T here.
I hope this helps those who have also purchased this unit and are having abit of a hard time getting it going.

This device is not a cell phone but a passive tracking device, which means its tracking does not need initialization of the person or vehicle it tracks. Imagine how helpful it would be if you get into a car accident. You can let people where you are by just one click. Pin point your location on the map.
Another important feature is it is real time. Unlike some trackers which are only loggers, you can only get the travel history afterwards and getting the tracker back to hand and connect to computer. Real time means that tracker reports its position to you real time. Like a cell phone, this tracker is using the cell phone network. In my case, I use AT&T. I manage to get the expense of AT&T bill for this tracker under $15/month. I am using it 10 hours a day and 30 day a month.
The second spare battery in the tracker is real good for me too because it lets me do continuous tracking. |
